The past few months have been busy here at Cranfield. It’s been great to see you all back again after the winter break and getting back into the swing of things as spring broke through.
While you were all working hard, we’ve been bringing the fun for you. Our Clubs and Societies have been active, getting stuck into this semester.
It’s nearly time for your Easter break, or maybe it has already started for some of you. We are enjoying spring, but we must take a moment to look back on snowy Cranfield. It wasn’t quite a White Christmas, but close enough.

We’ve had a full-on few months after the return from the holidays, so let’s see what’s been going on.
Let’s look back at some of the events we had at the beginning of the year.
It was 2025 Wrapped Night to celebrate the end of exam week. You welcomed in 2026 with style.
No sooner has 2026 started than we were back in the year 2000. You loved our Flashback Friday last time, so we brought it back with a Flashback Party: 2000s Hits. Boogies and bangers saw out the night.
We held a collaboration event for Blue or Brew Monday. The SWADs team, Samaritans, and PATS dog Jessop joined us in the CSA. There was mindful colouring, free tea and coffee, and good conversation — not bad for a Monday.

Your President for Engagement and Representation, Simran, hosted a Sip & Paint event. Focused on creativity, wellbeing, and mindfulness, there were some wonderful pictures. You really channelled your inner artists.
It may be the shortest month, but February wasn’t short of things to do.
You got dastardly and deceitful in our games of CSA Traitors. Smashing the challenges, winning the gold and rooting out the Traitors was hard work, but you found some of them.
Claudia would be proud. Unfortunately for the Faithful, on two nights the Traitors ruled, getting away with murder and deception. The game is over — but are you sure you know who you can trust?

We had a night of friendship bracelet making. You showed the love and your creativity. We couldn’t spread the love of Valentine’s Day without thinking of our besties.

In February we had our International Week and Cultural Fest. It was great to see so many countries and cuisines represented and to share parts of your culture.
Thank you to everybody who contributed.
Did you catch ’em all? We enjoyed games, Pokémon walks and drone sessions in Geek Fest.
Did you unleash your inner geek?
These are some of the events we’ve had over the past month.
So many of you celebrated Holi on the football field this year. You brought some colour to campus.
It was the French Party. You really brought the vibes; you didn’t want the party to end.
We went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in Watford. There were wands, dragons, Gringotts Bank and even Diagon Alley.
Magic was all around; did you feel it?

We had Listening Week. It was so great to hear from so many of you. Thank you all for your feedback.
St Patrick’s Day was a lively one. Around 140 pints of Guinness were sold, and everyone was well into the spirit of things.
Our Presidents have been busy too. Here’s what they’ve been up to:
What I have done:
Committees and meetings attended:
Delivered an introduction to CSA in various faculties and courses.
Hey Cranfield! What a fantastic, action-packed start to the year we’ve had! As your President for Student Life, I've spent the last three months working hard to bring your feedback to reality—starting with securing a brand-new PS5 and plenty of games for the CSA gaming room.
We immediately put that competitive spirit to the test with our inaugural monthly CSA E-Sports tournament in early March. Huge shoutout to the 15 players who battled it out, and congratulations to our champion who walked away with the trophy and £30.
Beyond gaming, I’ve been championing your safety. After several intensive meetings with the residential team, we finally fixed the lighting around campus—brightening up those notoriously gloomy areas near Baroness Blocks 3 and 4.
On the cultural side, I had the absolute best time sharing some homemade Pakistani dishes at February's Cultural Fest, and I loved teaming up with Simran to throw an unforgettable Holi celebration on the football field.
It’s been an incredible quarter, and I can’t wait to see what we get up to next!

I wanted to share a quick recap of the wonderful Holi celebration we hosted on March 4th.
The event truly reflected how Indians celebrate this vibrant festival—with colourful powders filling the air, music and dance bringing people together, and an overall atmosphere of joy, unity, and positivity.
We received very positive feedback, and it was a memorable experience for all students.

These are some of the events we have coming up in April.
Jessop the Pets as Therapy dog returns once again to the CSA. Come down to meet him — the best therapist has fur and four legs.
It’s time for the Kids Easter Party. Hunt down the eggs in an Easter egg hunt and join in for some Easter crafts.
Please note all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Are you ready to be the envy of campus with your handmade bracelets? Look no further, friendship bracelet making is coming back again at the CSA, so don’t miss it.
The results of our Listening Week are almost here. It was great to get so much feedback from you.
We are reading through and analysing the responses and are nearly ready to share them with you.
Meet Maude, the CSA’s little van.
Spring has sprung, but Maude still feels a little dull. She wants to stand out. Can you give her a new springtime look?
